A believer should always remember that the Divine door is always open. Allah’s (God) says “Take one step towards me, I will take ten steps towards you. Walk towards me, I will run towards you”. Allah’s (God) love is not dependent upon our actions but it is his love that inspires us to knock on the door to begin with. God is with you in the beginning, in the end, and in every moment in between.
Rumi describes beautifully that “Each moment contains a hundred messages from God. To every cry of “Oh God’, He answers a hundred times, “I am here”. Just because you can’t see God does not mean he can’t see you. “Don’t lose heart or grieve for God is always near. It is only through knowing God we can break free from anxiety, fear and the unknown. The more we put our trust in God the more harmony and peace we have in our heart and in our lives. It is only in trusting God that our souls can be truly free.
Earthy colours with gold leaf have been used to remind the viewer that this world is temporary we have to knock, and he will open the door. Patterns for the door where inspired by the borders on the covering of the Kaaba (Kiswa). A reminder that prayers open doors that you didn’t know existed.
