POWER OF LOVE
The word for “love” in Arabic is “Hubb”. This artwork demonstrates the concept of love itself. Allah being the origin of love, He never stops loving you because His love is eternal and has no beginning or end.
It is Allah’s promise that each of us will taste death and we will all return to the Creator of Love itself - Al Wadud (the Most Loving). So even when a loved one leaves or has passed away, that love lives on in our hearts.
The abstract heart has been presented in a way to show a broken heart. The artwork incorporates the Japanese concept of Kintsugi, this teaches us that our broken pieces can be put back together to make us stronger and better than even before.
This can be applied to our everyday lives, so even when we think we are broken, we can pick up the pieces and put them back together and learn to embrace the cracks. The liquid gold paint that is used to put broken pieces back together which will reveal something even more beautiful and a strength we didn’t even know we had.
We must always remember that “Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.” (2:286). The hidden blessing is in the divine reminder to love, live and give more freely, for any moment could be our last breath.
