Name: “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem”

Meaning: In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

Commentary: Encapsulating the true essence of the Qur’an, indeed the true essence of all religions; an ideal to be expressed with passion, with sincerity, which leads us toward sacred purpose, the purpose for which we have been given life.

In depicting sincerity the artist chose a rare grey coloured acrylic whilst contrasting the calligraphy with clear crystals as an expression of beautiful simplicity.

The canvas was treated with minerals and numerous layers of matte acrylic paint. The calligraphy was created using over 1500 Swarovski crystals, applied individually by hand.
