Name: “La Ilaaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasoolullah”
Meaning: There is no god but Allah: Muhammad (pbuh) is the Messenger of Allah
Commentary: No one can be a Muslim without believing and adhering to the tenets of La Ilaaha Illallah. It is the belief in these words in their truest sense that cause one to enter Islam.
'Truth' is one of the earlier pieces in the collection but one that is very dear to the artist’s heart. The grey background signifies all that is in our universe, both seen and unseen. The calligraphy, shaped to depict our Earth, is crystallized using clear Swarovski’s to denote the feelings of clarity and spirituality that enter your life when you understand and accept the meaning of these words.
The canvas was stretched over a wooden frame, sand blasted with mineral oxides to create a heavily gritted grey slate effect. Over 11,500 clear Swarovski crystal elements were applied individually by the hand of the artist.
